The concept of Japanese tea packaging is based on the principles of enlightenment, transformation enlightenment, balance, stability, harmony, enjoyment and refinement. It is inspired by the sacred journey of self-discovery and inner peace.
The design reflects the shape of Japanese monks' headdresses - Kasa, which seem to transform, symbolising the constant state of evolution of human life.
Just as the headdress changes to reflect the monk's spiritual journey, the packaging points to the transformative power of tea - a catalyst for personal growth, mindfulness and balance. Carefully crafted shapes and intricate details represent the harmony between nature, body and mind, highlighting the role of tea as a grounding force in a fast-paced world.
This packaging not only sells tea, but also invites you to experience enlightenment, balance and clarity, offering a moment of quiet in an often chaotic world.  Satori means sudden enlightenment or a moment of spiritual awakening. It's like a flash of insight that can change your perspective on life.
Manji is a symbol of Japanese Buddhism.  It is used to mark temples on maps and as a symbol of good luck throughout Asia.
